Hey everyone! Welcome to my blog, where I will reflect on my training and fundraising experiences with Team in Training for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - and oh yes....the fun and challenging times I have with TriAdventure Sports at home in Blacksburg. I started doing endurance sports with Team in Training 7 yrs. ago and have been hooked ever since. I've done 17 events and raised about $75,000 over these years....and I don't plan to stop anytime soon. It keeps me fit and focused on a cause for which I have a great passion. I know that enthusiasm is contagious, and since I can't contain my enthusiasm for Team in Training, I feel it's time to share the experience so that you can care about this right along with me. I need companions for the journey...especially virtual ones! Today is a "day off," that is, I'm in Richmond to visit my grandson Connor, 13 days old, his parents Josh and Kristen, and their pets Gabby and Cali. My exercise was a walk in beautiful sunshine and snowscape, and thinking how I would connect with you. It's good to be reminded of the miracle of life, and newborn Connor does that for me....so I'm remembering to rest as I hold him, knowing that training will come again tomorrow. Stay tuned! Jan
